Costa’s World Classic: Metrosexuals
CLICK BELOW TO LISTEN: Costa’s World Episode 39: Metrosexuals
Another funny episode from the vault. I hope nobody sends me any hate mail at the suggestion that Metrosexuals are really closet homosexuals. So forgive me if anything comes across as homophobic or if we sound like we are gay bashing, cause certainly it isn’t our intent. Since I am on the subject, next Mondays episode is gonna be about Sensitivity and Political Correctness…because recently some of my most die-hard listeners have gotten all sensitive on me. “Don’t say this…don’t say that…how dare you day this.” If you have been listening to the show you know that we pull no punches and hold our tongue for no one…so it begs the question, do people get sensitive about issues when the TRUTH is being spoken? That’s next week on UrbanSpin.net, so for now, enjoy Metrosexuals you eyebrow threading manly men.
This is one of my all time favorite episodes. The concept of Poetry and Pimpin never ceases to amaze me. It might be because I host so many poetry events and see it on display like twice a month, but women certainly are vulnerable to the lyrical stylings of poets. I’m serious ladies, the dimly lit coffee house or poetry spots must be like kryptonite to women, because you fall for these nice guy poetry routines ALL THE TIME. So in this episode I let my feelings be known, and the original Costa’s World crew is there to join in on all the fun. Episode 19, wow, that was in our first year…which brings me to this reminder:
Hey Urban Spinners. So, your boy good ole Tone is out in the lush greenery of Lake Tahoe, NV. Taking in the sun, riding in canoes, and not being able to contain his energy for the 1st annual comment show. That’s right, after taking some written lashes from the listeners, I am doing something I have never done before…I’M RESPONDING. Ya’ll done messed around and got me pissed. So tonight upon arrival in Los Angeles I am heading directly to the studio and tellin Reno to turn the mic on and leave the building. Ok, so I know I am making it sound like war, but honestly, the listeners comments I have been receiving recently are VERY good and worthy of an appropriate response. So check for that Tuesday morning this week. Also, if you have been commenting, keep it up, you know we love the feedback, and if you haven’t commented yet, drop your thoughts in the comment box and I’ll try to work them into the next comment show. I am thinking about doing them once a month…what ya’ll think?

YES…YES…YES…It’s That time again.
I got my swagger back. After months off I finally got some hate mail…thanks Camile for attempting to call me out on the Fast Food Ghetto Show, but I hate to tell you, you weren’t the only one. So next week I am doing a special “Listener Response Show.” So if you want to call Tone out on something, put it in the comment section under the posted episode, and if I think it warrants a reply, i’ll do it during next weeks show. As for this week, Pre-Nuptial Agreements are a highly debated topic, and one that needed my wise and traveled opinion. Bay Area Marv pops in for this one. “Missed Ya Marv!!” So yeah, check out the show and leave some comments regarding the topic. Should everyone get a pre-nup… right? Are sweethearts who don’t get them blind and irresponsible suckas for love? Enjoy!!
With Oprah’s fanatic following, it’s almost like she is the voice of God these days. Thousands believe and follow whatever new unction she has. On this weeks show Tammi Lorraine and DOVER&DOVER help unveil what is actually wise counsel as opposed to misleading advice. Don’t forget to send in your “PEACE/PIECE LETTERS” were Tammi Lorraine and DOVER&DOVER will either give you a Peace of mind or a Piece of their mind. Lastly, get ready for that UrbanSpin/CostasWorld 3rd Anniversary Party (for those in Los Angeles Area) Thursday, August 21st. We want to see you there…
So guess who decided it was time to shut the game down? I’ll give you a couple of hints, she’s fly, slightly resembles Mariah Carey, and is one of the featured personalities at KDAY in Los Angeles. If you guessed Devi Dev, you just won your self a red or blue bandanna. So guess who decided to host the show with her? Need a hint? He’s fly, slightly resembles Doug E Fresh and loses sleep keeping UrbanSpin.net tight. You got it, Good ole Tony aka Costa. Tone and Dev connect to bring you a new twist on zombieRADIO. We are going to be putting your favorite artists on the hot seat and discussing not only whats new in their careers, but the current state of hip hop as well. Fresh off his hit single with Akon, Glasses Malone discusses “Do you have to be a thug to make waves in Hip Hop?” New zombies are jumping off each week, so if you know an artist looking to get some love, have them send a track to BeHeard@zombieradio.net. And it ain’t just Hip Hop, we are now accepting R&B, and Spoken Word. Damn, we are adding new shows every week, Hip Hop heavyweights just chillin in the studio, the Fall is def about to be hotter than the summer.
